How Vid2Sprite handles local browser processing, analytics, diagnostics, and privacy-related contact requests.

Last updated: May 31, 2026

Overview

This Privacy Policy explains how 2nd Foundry LLC handles information related to Vid2Sprite, a browser-based tool for turning video clips into sprite sheets.

Vid2Sprite is currently offered as a no-account product with a browser-first workflow. In practice, the main categories of information involved are site usage data, voluntary support communications, and limited diagnostics from the third-party services used to operate and improve the product.

Information you choose to provide

If you contact Vid2Sprite at [email protected] for support, feedback, legal questions, partnerships, or bug reports, we may receive the information you include in that message, such as your name, email address, message contents, and any attachments or screenshots you voluntarily send.

Please avoid sending sensitive personal information or confidential material unless it is necessary for your request.

Information collected automatically

When you load the site, our hosting and service providers may process standard technical request data such as IP address, browser type, operating system, referring page information, timestamps, and similar device or network metadata needed to deliver and secure the site.

  • Google Analytics and PostHog may collect page views, navigation events, product interaction events, browser and device details, approximate location derived from IP, and cookie or similar-technology data used to measure site traffic and product usage.
  • Sentry may collect crash reports, stack traces, browser metadata, release identifiers, route information, and default network context when a production error is reported so we can diagnose and fix reliability issues.

Local processing and creative files

Vid2Sprite is designed so the core video-processing and export workflow runs locally in your browser session. Under the normal product flow, your source footage, frame selections, and exported sprite sheets are not intentionally uploaded to a Vid2Sprite application server for processing.

Our analytics and routine monitoring are intended to observe the product itself rather than the contents of your creative files. If you choose to send us screenshots, sample clips, or other materials during a support conversation, we may review them only for the purpose of helping with that request.

How we use information

We use the information described above to operate the site, understand product usage, diagnose failures, respond to inquiries, improve the studio experience, protect the service, and comply with legal obligations.

  • Provide and maintain the public site and studio workflow.
  • Measure traffic patterns and understand which product surfaces are being used.
  • Investigate bugs, reliability issues, abuse, or security incidents.
  • Respond to support, feedback, partnership, or legal inquiries.
  • Maintain business records and comply with applicable law.

Sharing and disclosures

We do not sell your personal information. We may share limited information with service providers that help us run Vid2Sprite, such as analytics, error-monitoring, hosting, and infrastructure providers, but only as reasonably necessary for those services.

We may also disclose information if required by law, to protect our rights or the safety of others, or in connection with a merger, acquisition, financing, reorganization, or sale of assets.

Retention and security

Because Vid2Sprite does not currently require an account, we do not maintain a normal central repository of your source footage or exported assets through ordinary product use. Support emails, attachments you send voluntarily, analytics records, and diagnostic reports may be retained for as long as reasonably necessary to operate the service, resolve issues, improve the product, and satisfy legal or business recordkeeping needs.

We use reasonable administrative, technical, and organizational measures to protect information we control, but no internet or software-based system can be guaranteed to be completely secure.

Your choices

You can limit cookies or similar technologies through your browser settings, use privacy tools that restrict analytics scripts, or choose not to use the site if you do not want technical usage data to be processed by the third-party services described above.

If you have a privacy question, want us to review a support-related communication, or believe local law gives you additional rights regarding personal information, contact us and we will review the request in light of the information we actually control.

Children's privacy

Vid2Sprite is not directed to children, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children through the normal product flow. If you believe a child has provided personal information to us directly, please contact us so we can review the situation.

Changes and contact

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time to reflect product, operational, or legal changes. When we do, we will post the updated version on this page and update the effective date.

Privacy questions can be sent to [email protected].
